Wedding season: What to wear.

So, wedding season is approaching and many of you are probably wondering what should you wear as a guest to that big event. Some of you may want to go more casual and some may want to impress and stand out. Well, either way I got you covered this spring and to make it easier for you I'm happy to share with you the Wedding Guest Style Guide from The Black Tux along with some of my own suggestions and tips for this season! But first things first let's start with the Guide:

And if you still haven't decided yet, here are some more suggestions. Enjoy!

Romantic vibes.

Less is more and the best way to look effortless yet elegant is to put on a flowy romantic dress. Lace, ruffles and sheer details are a huge trend this season! We've seen them on the catwalk multiple times, like in Balenciaga, The Row and Gucci. They are also a great option for a summer beach wedding.

Go casual.

If you want to go more casual, a great option is to wear a jumpsuit. Culotte jumpsuites are everywhere right now! They are a huge trend and you can dress them down by choosing pastel or bright coloured ones, or dress them up by wearing a sleek monochromatic or black and white outfit.

Metallics.

Go bold and stand out from the crowd by wearing a metallic or sequined dress! Sequins are also a huge trend and we 've seen them on Saint Laurent and Sonia Rykiel. They are a great choice and if you want to go more formal you can even dare to wear a metallic maxi slip dress.

Guys:

  • Casual: I think that if a guy wants to go more casual, he should stick to the trusty shirt and slacks combo. He can also wear a polo t-shirt instead of the shirt or add a pop of colour by wearing green, blue or burgundy coloured pants.

  • Formal: The best way to go formal is to go classic. A simple suit or a tuxedo is the way to go. Colourwise I'd suggest to choose classic black or dark blue.

Hope you found this post helpful! Check out The Black Tux to learn more about them!
Till next time! xx
